about
This song was written by Pascal Le Boeuf for singer/songwriter, Annie Lynch, of "Annie and the Beekeepers". She was an early songwriting influence when Pascal used to visit her in Boston to collaborate with Emily Greene, and Dave Brandwein of "Turkuaz" during a year off in 2007-2008. There is a longer version of the song that didn't make the album.
lyrics
He's gone, don't go out tonight.
Light a candle and turn out the light.
Soak your freckles with tears and
acknowledge your fears so that
you can move on with your life.
Let it burn through the night
'til it smolders and dies,
and the ashes lay scattered through the sky.
Ooh, Ooh,
For every kiss there's a tear,
A tear for my love.
For every kiss there's a tear,
There's a tear for every kiss. (Repeat)
